blue ball Michael and Jane Aimable

Michael and Jane Aimable have transformed their home with the £25,000 they released through In Retirement Services. They have refurbished their home with a new roof and windows for the conservatory, a new bathroom and driveway. Jane 80, and Michael, 82, have lived in their home in Fareham, Hampshire for nearly 40 years. The value of their home has increased substantially over the years and the three-bed terrace is now worth more than £120,000.

The couple used to run a driving school and Michael has an Army pension but the couple soon discovered that their budget wouldn’t stretch far enough for their planned home improvements. Thanks to the cash they released with In Retirement Services, Michael and Jane have been able to carry out the work on their home. Jane says, "We didn't want to move. We've got lovely neighbours and love our life here, but we've wanted to make these improvements for ages. Everything costs a lot today."

The couple, who have four grandchildren and three great grandchildren, wanted to make sure they had the full support of their family. Before making any decision, they spoke to their son and daughter to get their thoughts,"They were all for it,"says Jane.
